The Gospel in Seven Steps
Active faith in Jesus starts with understanding some core truths about God, humanity, and the redemptive work of Christ.
God was always here. He created everything. He is always at work, even when we don’t see. He is perfect in power, knowledge and goodness.
Genesis 1:1, Nehemiah 9:6, Psalm 103:19
Adam and Eve disobeyed. Sin entered the world. All people sin whether they mean to or not. Sin displeases God and deserves punishment.
Genesis 3:6, Romans 5:12, 1 John 1:8
God stayed with and for his people. He gave them leaders. No leader was perfect. God promised He would send a savior one day.

Jesus never sinned. He taught a new way of living and serving. He took on everyone’s sin, died on a cross and rose on the third day.

Jesus offers eternal life to people who believe in him. We do not earn it or deserve it. Our response to Christ is faith.

Christians are supposed to share Jesus’ message with others. He calls us his hands and feet. We do this in our city and around the world.

Jesus promised he would come back. He will take his rightful place as king. Those who believe will spend forever with him. All will be new.
